Do I need to write anything myself?
No. You answer questions about your business and send us what you already have. We write the documents, a person checks every one, and you approve a sample before the full set is built.
What happens when the law changes?
We update the affected documents and reissue them at no charge. That is included in every bundle.
Will Get Compliant get me through CHAS or SafeContractor?
Get Compliant covers what the law requires for your size. An accreditation assessor asks for more, such as audit records, registers and an evidence index. Accreditation Ready adds those, plus the Passmark app to keep them up to date.
How do I pay?
Monthly by Direct Debit, or the year in full with two months free. Nothing is taken until you approve your sample document.
Can I cancel?
Yes, free of charge, at any point before you approve your sample. After that, the plan runs for twelve months.

What health and safety documents does a small trade business need?
It depends on your trade and your size. Most need a health and safety policy, risk assessments, a Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) for the work they do, COSHH assessments for any hazardous substances, and records of training and toolbox talks. Passmark works out the right set from your answers at onboarding.
Do sole traders need a health and safety policy?
The law only requires a written health and safety policy once you have five or more employees. Sole traders still have to assess the risks of their work, and clients and main contractors will usually ask to see a policy, risk assessments and RAMS before you start on site. The Solo bundle covers all of these.
What is a RAMS and when do I need one?
A Risk Assessment and Method Statement sets out the hazards of a job, how you will control them and the safe way to do the work. Main contractors, housing providers and commercial clients usually ask for one before you start. Passmark writes RAMS for every type of work and product you carry out.
What is COSHH and does my trade need COSHH assessments?
COSHH stands for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002. If you use products such as adhesives, solvents, cleaning chemicals, fuels or dusts, you need to assess the risk and how you control it. Your COSHH assessments are written for the products your trade actually uses.
What documents do I need for CHAS, SMAS or SafeContractor?
Assessors look for your policies, risk assessments and RAMS, plus evidence they are in use: registers, training records, audits and reviews. Accreditation Ready gives you the documents and the Passmark app to keep that evidence up to date.
Are these just templates?
No. Each document is written around your trade, your team and the way you work, then checked by a person and released in your own branding. If you already have documents, we review them, fix errors and gaps, and rebuild them as one current set.
Can my clients check my documents are genuine?
Yes. Every Passmark document carries a QR code. Anyone can scan it, or enter the code on our Verify page, to see the company, the document, its version and whether it is current.
Will the documents have my logo and branding?
Yes. Every document carries your logo, your colours and your own job titles, so they read as your business's documents.
